Multiple User Error

So here's the deal, I have a database which has about 6-7 linked tables through sharepoint. I placed the database into sharepoint to have other users access it. This method of putting the DB on sharepoint was working for about 2 months now, although very very slow, it works. Now we have access to a share drive which I'm trying to place my DB. The DB gets onto the share drive no problem but now only one of us can us the database at once. I need for multiple users to be able to get into the DB and use it. No, it's not a split database. The error I'm getting is "The database has been placed in a state by user "Admin" on machine "-------" that prevents it from being opened or locked" Any suggestions?

No, it's not a split database.

Split the database and the front end can be used by different users at the same time.

Thank you for the response, working on the split now. Since I have a linked excel table and linked sharepoint tables, will that affect anything?

A split Access database can link to multiple back end files; Access tables, Excel, SharePoint Lists.
