    asking for parameter

I have a form to enter the people that are part of the company, it has several lookup fields on the form. what happens when I click on the last name field then click the Find record button the form opens and I enter the first letter of the last name and then a window pops up asking for to enter the parameter of the Sex field and I do not enter anything and click ok then another window pops up asking for the same for the County and I do not enter anything click ok then it finds the next record for the letter I entered. There are at least 8 other lookup fields on the form but it does not ask for the parameters of the other lookup fields only those 2. I can enter different letter and it does not ask for the parameters and just finds the next record. However if I close the form and reopen it the same thing happens but only for the first letter I put in the search field. any Ideas on what causes this and how to correct it?

In the query, you may have :
    sex in the parameters,
    or
something referring to Sex that does not exist as a field in that table

If it asks for params you don't want, check the parameter list.
or check for spelling, or that they ACTUALLY exist in the table.

the form data source is the table, no query. all the data source settings for all the lookups are the linked to the table and their related fields so I do not understand where the parameter comes from

Something somewhere is referencing that name and not finding a field.

If you want to provide db for analysis ...

I use Rick Fisher's Find & Replace add-in to help me track down such anomalies. Cost about $50. Other add-in options are VTools and MZ-Tools.

This is for fmPeople (should be frmPeople)?

It's because the combobox RowSource SQL references tables Sex and County in the prefixes of field names but the table names are tblSex and tblCounty.
