Access isn’t opening properly

Access isn’t opening properly, After installing windows 10 from scratch I installed Microsoft Access 2010. My database was showing as an internet explorer file, but did open in Access when clicked. In an attempt to show it in folder as an Access (ACCDB) file I right clicked and set office as the default file, which made things worse as it wouldn’t open at all so I right clicked again and browsed through to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office\ Access 2010 shortcut, thinking this would solve the problem. Windows displayed a message saying: “This App can’t run on your PC, to find a version for your PC, check with the PC Publisher”.



I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but this still didn’t fix the problem. I am able to open the database by clicking the Assess shortcut but would prefer it if I could open it by clicking the file. Any suggestions?

save the DB save as a Backup file place it where you want it then you should be able to open it from the backup file

Hi thanks for advice, I tried it and unfortunatly it didn't make any difference.
