Sort a Report in Alphabetical Order

    Hi

I'm creating a report based on a query and I want to sort the report by employee's first name. I am doing so in the query on which I've based the report, but it hasn't transferred over. Why, and how do I fix this issue?

On the Microsoft Office help page, it's telling me to use filters, but my understanding is that the filter will not stay in place after I close the report.

    Thanks

You need to set the sort up in Group & Sort on the ribbon (with the report in design view).
