    finding new records for a given period

    I have a client services table which includes a date of service field. a new client would be entered on their first visit, with (hopefully) subsequent service visits during the year. I'm trying to find how many new clients were acquired during a given year or month. Don't know how to construct the query to pull new clients during a given period. all help is greatly appreciated.

    One way that comes to mind is using the first query here to find the first visit per person, and add a criteria for the date threshold you want to use:
