Can't enter any data in the record fields, nor make any changes on the drop down list

I have a split database in Access 2013. The backend is on the server, and all clients can access it using the frontend database file on their computers, except for one laptop. I have even copied a working frontend from one of the other computers to the laptop. All computers are running Office 2013.

If opened from the laptop, you can't enter any data in the record fields, nor make any changes on the drop down list or combo boxes. It's almost like the keyboard is disabled or something. Yet you can click on the search box and type a value, and it will find the record, so I know the keyboard is working.

If it was in Read Only mode it would state that when I open it, plus in Read Only mode, you can still enter data in the record fields, you would just have to Save As when exiting out.

I've repaired and compacted the database, rebooted the laptop, rebooted the server, gave the FrontEnd full permission using Everyone with no success.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Mike

Glad you found the solutions. Network permissions would have been my first idea.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I had the correct permissions on the backend file itself, but by also updating the permissions on the parent folder as well, it resolved the issue with the laptop.

Not sure why all the others continued to work without issue, but this one laptop required the parent folder to also have the correct permissions.
