    point of sale tutorial


    I am making a program for a friend that owns a tow yard and need help with kind of a point of sale setup. Does anyone know where tutorials are that can help. I know some of the stuff from other access stuff I've done but I'm having a hard time with this. i tryed to find some free pos databases to pick apart but cannot find any to help.

    Building a POS database is same as building any database. Identify data entities and relationships and design tables to fit. What exactly are you having a hard time with?

    How to pull information from multiple forms and write it to multiple ones. Some of the info needs to go to 2 or 3 forms, some of it is the same few thingsto multiple forms . I'm also having a hard time getting line items to work

    Why would the same data be saved into multiple forms? What do you mean by 'getting line items to work'?

    I will check that site. The drivers work off commission so i need the tow basic info to save in its form then have which employee the invoice number the total sale and the commission rate at time of tow to go to another form. I cannot get the price to carry over once i select what service was provided. Sorry for typos or bad grammar as i am getting on here onmy phone

    I'm still having an issue with getting my line items to work right. I cannot get the price to show up on my form from the table. I have it so the items show up in a drop list. I also am trying to get categories to work so if one of my guys selects a category on the main form in my line item form only the related items show up

    Great startup would be with northwind database,.. its nice well designed and open,.. study it ,.. I myself personally getting a lot of stuff from that same db. It has almost everything well setup.

    I've looked at it. A lot of the stuff is hidden i have exported what i can and it has helped but still working on some stuff. If things keep going like they have been ill have it done and close this thread soon
