Export to Excel, 1 recrd at a time

Hi

Ive created a Db and a form and report. Let says theres 100 records in the db.

I wish to be able to press a button and have Access create an excel file in the format of the form/report Ive created. Access will do this 100 time therefor creating 100 excel files each with their own copy of their records. The file names should be called "customerxyz" which is one of the key data fields.

Any ideas ?

I'm not sure how well an Access report would export to Excel - the formatting would be a real issue.

Why do you want to export to Excel - wouldn't a pdf file work just as well?

My account department are sticklers for getting their docs in excel
However, if this was possible in PDF, I would give it a try ?

Report open in Print Preview, right click > Export > PDF.

Will this create a single PDF file per record automatically ? as I dont want to be having to manually print each record/export to PDF ?

It will PDF the report as displayed in Print Preview. If it is filtered to a single record then that is what the PDF will reflect. If it has all records, then that's what the PDF will show. Did you review the link?
