    Access stops working and reloads

    Thanks for the reply,

I am using a full version of Access 2010 and it is in Trusted location. When I try to open a form with VBA Programming from the Navigation Pane I get a message that "Microsoft Access has stopped working" and then "Access is restarting". Next, the VBA editor opens showing only one page of programming although there are many pages. This application works perfectly on other computers, one with Windows 8 the other with Vista. All development was done on the Windows 7 computer I'm having trouble with. This is fairly large data base with dozens of forms, queries and tables. Is it possible there isn't enough memory? Or is there a setting that I inadvertently clicked on that prevents programming from working?

I hope you pros can offer a solution.

Do you have another Windows 7 computer you can test on?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Most strange to have it work on every box except the one it was developed on! Do you have any idea when this problem first cropped up? After one or more modifications were made? After Windows was updated?

Usually when apps run fine on one machine and not on another, or run fine in one version and not when run under a newer version, one the first things you have to think about are missing references.

Presumably the development PC had the library loaded when the app was originally developed, but they do have a habit of 'going missing!'

If you haven't checked for this kind of thing before, here is a link to Doug Steele's detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem:

I hope this helps. I have found with Access 2010 that if you haven't got a compile without errors it can cause a problem when you open Access. SO I make sure that I always enter Debug and Compile the project before saving. It doesn't happen all the time but it can be troublesome.

I get this as well, on my personal computer, running W7. It comes and goes and is a bear to troubleshoot. No solution found yet, so I am interested in the comments here.
