Display data in a subform based on Search

Basically I have a huge table full of information, and I have a search box on my main form, one of the fields in the table is "Supplier", now what I want to do is for a subform to display information from this table based on the "suppler" number the user puts into the search. I'd presume I would need to apply some kind of query but I am unsure how to go about this!

Have the query pull the table and referece the ID key on the main form.
(it may even be the same query used in the sub form except it has the parameter field)
