    Excel import wizard

    I try to link a excel sheet into a table in access. I go thru all the motions with the wizard but I find it kinda dumb. It does not even let the user skip top rows to get to the real gem.

    How else can I do it in access to skip junk rows to get to my field names and data?

    Is there a place I can specify SQL command set to define my connection ?

    Fieldnames MUST be in row 1. Why would you have blank lines above it?
    If you need to import the data, delete rows so headers are row 1.

    I can't delete those rows. The report is not generated by myself and I do not have write access to it. I can only link in its use

    You cant open it, remove rows, SAVE AS to your local folder.
    Link it
    import it?
