    error:3044 when i try to open access file just got in an email


    please guide me what to do? I need urgent help thanks

    This appears to be a split database. Because the files are now in a new location, you need to reset the table links.

    Hold down the shift key while opening the frontend file. Use Linked Table Manager to change the table links to the backend. Then close and reopen the frontend.

    Just to add to June7's advice -

    If you dont have access to the location of the back-end, i.e. the data files, then you won't be able to link to the data at all. The originator of the E-mail will have to either give you access to it, or send you the data files as well.
