    DSUM is not resulting

I would add a default value of 13 to 2013 or 10 to 2014 a formula that displays such if the DSUM is not resulting in a value.

As well as to be several dates of the year
My Dsum code is: = DSum ("Total"; "Tbl_expenses";"[id] = [Forms]! [Frm]! [SubFrm].[Form].[ID];0)

We have succeeded in this, but I want the results based on the date of the year
i want to use dsum to sum data between two dates that are fields on the form. i can't seem to get the quotes right. here is my code.
