I copy a Query to get the design but instead it tries to copy the rows that the query creates?

Hi everyone, I never encountered this issue before but it is happening now.

When I try to copy a query to have it's design ready for a new one and modify a few things, instead of copying query's design, it copies the result of the query (65k lines).

Any ideas how to only copy the query design instead of recreating a new one and copying the columns?

    Thanks,
    Dude

If you copy a query object, of course the new query object will perform exactly the same as the original and will display the same records. You will have to open the new query in design view and edit.

How are you copying? Certainly if you copy a query in the Nav Pane it will return the same result until you change something in one of them.
