    Sub Report In A Form

Hi I am using version 2010 and my main page has a sub report shown that changes the balances of each account as transactions happen. Easy a crostab query and hide details and a line of accounts appear. I dropped it into the main form and it works a treat.

My friend has version 2007 and after making the report, it will not let me drag and drop into the main form, is there a way to make this happen in 2007?

Is the report set for Report View?

Try putting a subform/subreport container control on the form then setting the control's SourceObject property.

Only option on the sub is control Query or Table, I just added a button and a pop up report.

A subform or subreport is created by placing a subform/subreport container control on another form or report and then setting the container's ControlSource property. A subform/subreport container control SourceObject can be a table, query, form, report.

Not in the version of 2007 I used, the container in the form only offers tables or queries as the possible SourceObject??

A subform/subreport container control can definitely have form or report as SourceObject in Access 2007. That's why it's called a subform/subreport control, not subtable/subquery control. I don't know why your friend's version behaves different.
