Access subform size within main form

I have a form Stores, and within it is the subform Visits. See screen capture:

I have gone into Visits > designview and enlarged the Visits subform, but no matter how wide I make it will not extend out to the right. In other words I want the field visit_notes to extend all the way to the right of the main form enclosure to give me more writing area for this field.
Can't figure out what I am doing from. Have read that I need to alter the Size Controls in the Main form, but if this is in fact the correct way to get the result I want, I don't understand how to alter the "Size controls" in the Main form

The subform is in Datasheet View? Controls in Datasheet View can be manually sized at will.

While the form/subform is open in normal mode, resize the Visit_Notes field and save. Unless manually changed again, the field will remain this size when form/subform reopened.

If you don't want to allow resizing, set subform as Continuous View and arrange controls to appear as Datasheet.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
