Access DB Does Not Ask For Credentials Any Longer

We have a MS database on our network on a shared drive. The front end is copied down to local users c:drive so that more than one user can access the DB at one time. Inside the DB there is a staff table with everyone's user name and password which is still in act.

Users use Access 2010 and when the click on the link to open the DB the "splash" screen comes up but just sits there and never asks for a user name and password so nobody can access the database.

    Thank You,

Hi Orange, that's my dilemma the database was working fine when the office closed last night. No changes have been made on the VM Server2012 the db resides on, no changes have been made to any tables within the db, no changes have been made to Microsoft Excel. I recovered a backup of the database from last night and the same problem exists. I have checked shared permissions and the shared drive is still open to all, I checked the database folder permission and they are ok.
I understand something had to change to create this issue,,,,, BUT WHAT I cant figure out.

I'm going to reboot the Windows 2012 VM server in 10 minutes and see if that helps at all.

    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi -

If you have not disabled it, are you able to open the database while holding down the Shift key as it opens? If so, then there may be an issue with the startup form - from your description, it sounds as if it is just sitting there waiting fo something.

If you can open the database, are you able to open the startup form from the navigation pane?

    John
