Is there a limit of field per survey/form?

    Hello everyone,

I am new to Access and I am developing a survey.
My questionnaire has almost 100 fields. Is there a limit in the number of fields (questions) a form can have? I am asking as the last questions are now squeezed. Though, in the Data view I could create all the fields without any issue.

How can I sort this out?

    Many thanks!

Maybe a tab control will help.

You could use more than one form as an option. Place a Command Button towards the bottom to click the "Next" form.

Another option is to simply scroll downwards on a single form.

In design view, grab the bottom edge of the form's detail section and drag downwards. Add the remaining controls to your form. Save your form and then look at it in form view. Use the scroll bar, typically on the right side, to scroll downward and view all of the questions/controls.

I dont understand why this proves to be so difficult. If I can enter up to 255 fields it means that the form itself will have to have all these fields...
Otherwise how you go for this?
Another option is to simply scroll downwards on a single form.

I cant do that as I seem to have reached the limit already, 54 cm somthing. That said, what can I do with the remaining fields? They need to appear on the form.
What about creating another form and linked it to the same table and then delete the fields which are already on the first form?

    Hi -

Look into using a tab control. The tab control can be as tall as you need it to be (subject to the form size limitation), and you will be able to have as many tabs as you need. You should have plenty of room.
