A Different Kind of Navigation Pane Problem

    Hello!

I'm having a problem that only started recently. In my Access Options, I have the setting to display the pane set to Yes., and the Navigation Options are set to Show System Objects. But when I run a form, the Navigation Pane closes (minimizes), and will not re-open until the form is closed, not even if I hit F11. This means that while I'm debugging, I can't check a table or query's content or field names to see if they might be what's causing my error. Since I'd want to check these things while the form is active, it's very frustrating to now be denied access.

I swear this didn't used to happen. Anyone with any ideas?

    Thanks so much!

Is the form Modal property set to Yes?

I seldom use Modal (or Popup) but never set this during development. Only after I am sure code runs properly.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Hmmmm . . . Yes, I genearally set all my forms to Modal, because I'm afraid I'll for get to set them to Modal before release. Just now I set a form to Non-Modal and opened it, and, indeed, the Nav Pane stayed available. But here's the weird thing - the forms have been Modal since I created them weeks ago, but, as I said, I could swear I haven't had this problem before. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, I'll consider this solved (even if I don't like the solution so much).

Thanks much for your time, June7!
