need help in sorting out when linking tables

i have created two tables . when i started using query to link datas from two tables, i am getting a error message


"cannot join on memo,ole or hyperlink object" and does not allow me to execute the query.

i have created primary key and foreign key on the two tables which i am trying to link the datas. need someone who can give me a solution

The error message indicates the exact problem.
What is the Data Type of your Primary key field ?

data type is short text

I suppose "short text" refers to "Text" & "long text" refer to "memo" fields.
Now check the data type of the Foreign key field in the other table.
If that is also "short text", then go in the design view of the query & double click on the join link & see which fields have been linked ( whether the correct PK & FK have been linked ).
