Footer where there shouldn't be a footer

Working in Access 2010 and I noticed something unusual at the bottom of my forms. There appear to be footers when there shouldn't be.



There are no footers on the form.





I have the navigation subform set to be anchored as stretch down and across and this seems to be somehow relevant. I notice that if I open the form initially, the subform does not have this "phantom footer" (the main form does have it though) but when I resize the window it magically appears on the subform. Any clues?

Navigation controls are generally avoided in desktop apps or apps that do not employ web forms. So don't have much experience with them and have not seen this before. At first blush, I wondered if you used the layout tool to create the form.

In the Form's Properties do you, perhaps, the ScrollBars and Navigation Buttons Properties set to 'No?' The color of the area they reside in is set per your Windows Properties, and when you elect not to show then, that color still persists; unless the color of the Detail Section is the same as their setting, you'll see this kind of thing.
