Calulations in subforms that work on one computer but not another

A computer with windows 8 does not show calculations of a subform on the main form. These calculations work and show up on the min form on other computers with windows 7 and Vista. Is there a setting on the computer or in Access that prevents these calculations from working on the Windows 8 computer?

A couple of questions; is this a machine running a full version of Access? When you speak of Windows 8 it sounds as if this is a new machine, which brings a couple of possibilities to mind.

Does any code execute when the Form is opened by simply clicking on it, in the Nav Pane? In version 2007 and later, when no VBA code executes, the problem is usually that the folder holding the database hasn’t been designated as a "Trusted" location.

    To "Trust" your folder, click:
    • Office Button (top left)
    • Access Options (bottom of dialog)
    • Trust Center (left)
    • Trust Center Settings (button)
    • Trusted Locations (left)
    • Add new location (button)

Also, when apps run fine on one machine and not on another, or run fine in one version and not when run under a newer version, one the first things you have to think about are missing references.

If you haven't checked for this kind of thing before, here are Doug Steele's detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem:

    Thank you for your response.

I assume I'm running a full version for Access on both machines. I installed MS Office on both using the same disc.

The code I have seems to execute properly with one exception, a filter button on a report gives me a error message on the Windows 8 machine but works perfectly on the others.

Everything worked fine on the Windows 8 machine until a few days ago . I will try to designate a Trusted location for the file.

Do you think it would help to reinstall Access on the Windows 8 machine?

    Thanks again
