i have the item field with the values below
700000-22941536
700060-113A3536/A
.....



query:

select * from mytbl
WHERE item LIKE '70%-113%

run this query and suppose to get 1 return, but nothing, why? am i have it wrong?

Try:

WHERE item LIKE "70*-113*"
