Displaying queries in a well-formatted manner

    Hi there,

Pretty new to access. I've managed to create forms which display queries - that was a good start for me. I just have two questions:
    1. I've tried to fiddle with things in different views but can't get the queries to size properly to stay one good-looking, set size. Right now this is how two of them show up http://puu.sh/703OJ/7c6fe5dd16.png Thoughts?

    2. I created a query to show "total sales today" which is just one value and displayed it similarly. http://puu.sh/703Tn/7f5735f161.png But an entire table is really overkill for one value. Is there a better way to show it?

I don't use Datasheet view (personal preference). Nothing wrong with it, I just don't like the way it looks.

I use continuous forms view and add the fields I want on the form.
You can adjust the detail size and the control sizes. Much more control of how the data is displayed.

    1. Agree, I seldom use Datasheet view in a form. Continuous view can be made to look much like Datasheet and also get to use form header/footer sections.

    2. Summary total can be calculated on same form that displays records. Apply filter to the form if you want the total to include only the records for a specified date.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
