Additional entries in table one

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and just putting a few feelers out… I have a database with two tables in it, table one has 570149 entries and table two has 568477 entries. I need to find the additional entries of 1672 in table one and display?

Any ideas how I could go about this please?

Have you tried using the Query Wizard>Find Unmatched Query Wizard ?

What is it about the two tables that are different? Is the only difference the 1672 additional records or are there certain fields within the 568477 records of table two that do not exactly match the records in the table one?

The only difference is the 1672 additional records, both of the tables fields are the same and the auto ID has been removed too

What sort of data is in the tables?
Can you show us a few records from each?

That is odd. I would have used the ID field in the unmatched query. If all the records and fields are the same. It should not matter which field you choose to compare. Choose any one. Actually, build a few different queries using the wizard. Try a different field to compare for the different queries and then look at the results.

Apologise for the late response. I have attached a database with two tables inside; table one has 10 entries and table two has 6 entries. I need to find the additional entries 7 – 10. Remember my main database has 570149 entries and the auto number has been removed…

Why was the autonumber removed??

I built a query and applied the criteria to the last few columns. That may be enough or you may need to compare additional columns, depending on your data.
