I'm not sure if this is a query...

Can I put a button on my switchboard that will do TWO things in sequence?

    1. open a form in edit mode AND
    2. open a search box

Or...can I write an "on open" code into the form to prompt the search box to open?

Is this possible and how would I write the code?
    Thanks much.

By switchboard, do you mean a form created with Switchboard wizard?

By edit mode do you mean to edit record or edit design?

Sorry, yes I mean the switchboard form. By edit, I mean edit an existing record existing in the DB.
    Thanks!

Might find this of interest https://www.accessforums.net/databas...ard-41048.html

What do you mean by a 'search box'?

I mean the "find" field (ctrl F). I'm creating a database for staff unfamiliar with (and apprehensive about) MS Access and I need to make it as basic as I can.

    Review: http://datapigtechnologies.com/flash...tomfilter.html

That isn't using Navigation form. I don't know if will translate nicely over to Navigation form.

As you might note from the other thread, not a fan of Navigation form.
