Suddenly unable to add new record

Hi, I have a form I use to add invoice information to the database. I reached 1,949 records (in case it's relevant) and the button disappeared to add a new record. I can still toggle between the current records but can't add a new one. "Allow additions" is set to yes. If I go into the table itself it WILL allow me to add a record, just not through the form.
    Thank you.

Never heard of anything like that. 1,949 records is a small dataset and should not cause issue. The button you refer to is on the intrinsic Access form navigation bar?

Have you tested deleting a record? Try creating another form with the same settings. Does it behave the same?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Yes, the button is the "add new(blank)" record button next to the arrows that allow navigation between records. Tried creating a new form using same fields and it does the same thing. Methinks it is time for computer to make contact with wall.

Just tested on another computer with same results. Trying to dig into the source queries/tables to see if that could be the problem.

I can't imagine what setting would allow for you to add a record to a table from a table yet, not allow you to add a record from a form.

Is your form using a query as a recordset? Referential Integrity rules?

Is this a single-user scenario or multiple-users? If the latter, is the app split with each user having a copy of the front end on their computers?

Have you made any changes, recently, to the database?
