    New form shortcut?

Hi all, new to this forum but have just started to work with Access 2007 so I'm hoping both to get tips and to contribute where I can.

I've just made a new form (generated from the Forms Wizard using a table I'd created) and I'd like this form to be the one that presents itself to the user whenever Access is opened up.

Is this possible? Many thanks for any pointers!

yep you want to become familiar with the round Office button in the upper left presuming you do have Access 2007; that opens a frame and somewhat obscurely there is an 'Access Options' button in the lower right of that frame - -this is where you need to go....

You'd do well to wander around in the Options, just to get familiar with them, but you could roam a long time and overlook this particular Option, called simply 'Display Form:'

    1. Go to Office Button (Big Icon, Top/Left)
    2. Click on Access Options (bottom, right of Dialog Box)
    3. Click on Current Database
    4. Use the Dropdown for Display Form to to select your Form
    5. Click on OK (Bottom, Right)
    6. Close Messagebox, then Close and re-open Access

    That's great, thanks very much!

Realised I'm not using Office 07, but 2010. However, same basic idea (though without the big button thingy).

It always amazes me that the Boys of Redmond feel that they just have to change the most basic things, going from version to version; trying to justify the cost, I guess!

    Welcome to the forum!
