Let me start off by saying I have probably literally tried every suggestion out there to try to fix this error.


Here at my work we have a drive (N: ) and on it are some Access applications (both front end and back end, there is not back end that I can go compact and repair, etc.). We needed to modify the data in a column and I was able to successfully do that in Access 2013.
Later in the day we started getting reports of people not able to open the files, with the error Unrecognized Database format (filname.accdb/mdb). Now, I first thought corrupted database, but I literally (or anyone else for that matter) can not open ANY Access file from the N: drive, even if I bring the files over to my desktop, they still give the error. I can not import the forms/data to a new file since I get the same error anytime I try to do something with the file.
I have run out of things to try at this point and I'm not sure what else I can try. These files are pretty heavily used within the company so I need a fix but I can not see one in sight. Has anyone experienced anything similar on Access 2013 or when using files from different drives/servers? I'm out of ideas here.
