    "Not a Valid Bookmark"

    Hi Folks,

Have a semi-urgent need here. Yesterday I developed a series of queries and reports, that pull from a linked table, whose criteria is generated from user-selects on a form. Yesterday, everything was working fine.

Today I tried to open some of those same queries, and it did not work, giving me the error message, "Not a Valid Bookmark"

    Things that changed:

    - I made the new copy of the DB back_end that houses the tables that the queries and reports are linked to. <- Ensured that file name was the same and updated table links through Linked Manager
    - I have since been playing around in the linked front-end and when I write queries to the linked tables, they work. UNTIL I try to use Aggregate Functions OR I try to set criteria.

Any suggestions please and thank you?

Are you using DAO or looping through recordsets with VBA?

Did you look at your tables to see if one or more records is corrupt? I use the sort A-Z for certain fields to hopefully bring it to the top.

Do you have hyperlinks hardcoded to your reports or forms? Do your reports or forms reference a bookmark in another office doc?

You are trying to use yesterday's bookmark?

I thought that a bookmark is only valid during the life of a particular recordset or query...

None of the above. I created a new copy and everything was fixed....... would've liked to know what the problem was, but glad it is fixed.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
