Question Formating date to Australian standard.

Have a large database on Access 2007 containing birth dates, being printed to a report via M Word on Windows 7. Data is stored as dd/mm/yyyy. This has been set up in Access 'data type - date/time' and format 'short date'. Windows 7 Region is set up as English (Australian) with the short dates and long dates set appropriately.
The dates on a report are being printed as mm/dd/yyyy. Is there any manner in which this can be corrected??

I offer this link for a better understanding of the DateTime field:

...and as to your question, the Format() function should work for you:
