    Database file size

    Hi,
I have just created a database in Access 2013 on a Windows 7 PC that consists of 3 Forms, 3 Tables , 8 standard queries and about 100 records.
The file size is 84 Mb.
This seems to be extremely large for such a small database.
I have no experience however to gauge whether the file size for the database would be considered as normal or not.
I would appreciate some input or views on this.

The database is stable and I have 'compact on exit' selected
    thanks
    Ted

You could try opening the DB, and doing a 'Compact/Repair Database. That should bring it down to its 'actual' size.
If you have an AutoExec Macro in there - it will fire when you do the Compact/Repair. You could rename that macro just while you perform this action.

Are there any images embedded in forms or stored in table ?
Try this -Create a new db and import all objects in it . Compact and repair and check the size.
