Memo field 'white box' to display on Report

    Hi guys,

I have a report and some fields are Memo Fields, and the report has a grey background.

I want the memo box fields to still appear on the report even if no data is entered into the specific field in the tables.....So basically want the 'white box' to still appear on the form.

All the other boxes and some 'memo' ones are appearing and some aren't? can anyone help me (In design view they are there and white with the 'Sunken' effect) but when I go to report view they arent that area just prints out grey as normal?

Is there some property I need to select or something to make them appear?

    Hope this makes sense!?

    TIA

Even if there is no data, the controls are still there taking up space. Is the CanGrow property set to Yes? Is BorderStyle set to be visible?

Yeah the space is there and everything, but its not appearing as a blank box, just an empty space in the Report View or when I Print..
If there is something in the Memo field it appears (but not at the width and height that I had set it on the report design view, just at the height/width it needs for the amount of text that is in there (if that makes sense)

I have another Memo field on the same report and that box is appearing fine.....(with or without text)

The CanGrow property is 'Yes' and it is Visible...well BorderStyle is 'Solid' and 'Visible' is Yes.

I have compared the properies of the 2 Memo fields (one that is showing fie and one that isnt) and they are all the same, so can't understand why the others wont appear?

Don't know, would have to review report to further analyze.

Doh! I was so close when I asked about the CanGrow property in post 2. Glad you got it fixed.
