    Sub Report Not displaying

I have a report which I want to use as a subreport.

It runs fine stand alone, but doesn't display as a subreport. When I put it on the report, its label shows, but no content.

There are records at that point for it to display. I have tried with both a link in master/child and without.

Any thoughts? I am truly baffled and would appreciate any timely responses.

FYI it doesn't even appear to launch, as the breakpoints in the events don't trigger. Stand alone they do.

Does the RecordSource have filter parameters?

Want to provide db for analysis?

No filter params. I should have known to create a testbed to share - if that is the only way then I will do that. I just ran the report against an empty table stand alone...even then it displays the report header...just no data. Its as if the report is being ignored completely by the main report. Seems like it would be something obvious.

Any thoughts? If I were to send you a db, would you be able to glance at it soon? Its quite simple. I just have to prep it - data, etc.

    Soon? Maybe.

Issue could be joins in the subform RecordSource. Is it a complex SQL with INNER joins?

nope just a straight query to a single table - works fine by itself - seems completely ignored when put on the main report

Right, you did say earlier stand alone is okay.

Well, will have to analyse report structure.

Well, it is seemingly working now. Not sure why all of a sudden - which is actually odd in itself.

Thank you for your offer to examine...I may yet accept.

This was a matter of records not being present at the time of the sub report load.
