    Calculated fields with multiple criteria

I am very new to working with Access. I have two sets of GRE scores that are listed in the same field. I want to find the avg of the new and old GRE scores. How and where do i write the formula for these two fields. I have tried to do this on the query and directly on the report and I can come with the sum of all of the fields, but not the sum for the old format GRE scores or the new format GRE. In the old system the GRE scores are greater than 200, whereas in the new format, they are less than 200.
