Access data in Excel problem

Hi,



I've set up a database in Access and it is too hard to do what I want to with the data in queries and reports so I want to link it to Excel so I can make the reports I want to.

I have 2 problems:

1. If I export into Excel from Access I get the data through with all the correct names but this is static data. If I link from Excel to Access I don't get the data names but numbered IDs, but this is live data (what I need).

2. I have pictures in access that I would like to able to display in Excel (doubt this is possible).

Any help is much appreciated.

In general, I don't recommend linking the products in real time unless absolutely necessary. If you're really looking for live data, and the live data is in Access, then it might be better to get some quick training on how to do the things in Access that you're already comfortable with in Excel. The other thing is that Access can link to Excel and use its capabilities, rather than just exporting to Excel, for times when that makes sense.

So, what are the types of things that you think Excel is really good at, but don't know how to do in Access?

First Point: If can be helpful, you can create in Excel a pivot table from an access table. With a PowerPivot you can do more.
