Default value not working?

Hi,

I'd like to set a default value for some of my fields. I've gone to Table Design and typed a value into the "Default Value" box in the property sheet, but nothing is happening. Am I missing a step? (I'm using Access 2007 if that makes any difference!)

If its for the primary key u can try an input mask, so for example if its the customer table you can use CID**** with CID being ur default value and you will have to input the digits

I figured out what was wrong, and it's a different problem entirely that I don't think is worth delving into, so I've marked this thread as solved.
