    Saving with a macro

When I put a command button on a form and apply a macro to it, there are many options.

I choose the close option and set the object type and object name.

Then there is the 'Save' option.

In the drop down menu is: Prompt, No, Yes

I have applied each option individually, saved the form, closed it, reopened it and tried the button after data entry.

I have not found any difference in the options.

I never get a message like: 'Do you want to save?' or 'Data not saved, do you want to continue?'

When I have the option set to not save, the data is still saved.

What am I missing? Has anyone experienced this before?

The save option refers to changes to the form's design. A bound form will by default try to save the data.

Thank you very much! But how can I then choose wether I would like to save the data or not?
