    Merging Summaries and Data Tables?

    Hi Access Community,

I'm a complete beginner to Microsoft Access and need some help. What I'm ultimately trying to do is create a review article of a variety of published scientific reports, that integrates a variety of excel tables/spreadsheets and paragraphs of typed information into one single form/report. My biggest issue is being able to type out these "summaries" in a Microsoft Word type fashion. How exactly do I accomplish this?

Access can link to Excel sheets then data in those sheets can be manipulated much like in tables (except for editing). Also, sheets can be embedded on forms and reports. Are the paragraphs on worksheets? The text of paragraphs can be in tables or typed into textboxes on forms/reports.

The paragraphs are not on worksheets. I am typing out the paragraphs myself. I can't seem to use the textboxes too well though; when I type in my paragraphs into a textbox in form mode, I cant seem to save what I've typed. Also, when I type too much information into the textbox, there isn't a "scroll bar" that shows up on the side for me to easily navigate throughout the box.
I am considering typing into labels, but I'm going to be doing about 20 different forms and want them to look semi-similar

You are typing text into ControlSource property of textbox on report? Scroll bar won't show. Textbox can be sized to display the text or set CanGrow property to allow vertical expansion.

Why can't you save text in textbox - error message?
