    Need help with linking databases

Hi and sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. Also I'm very new to access and still am trying to learn.

We have a database on a server in another location, i had to copy all the info and now have it on my pc.

When i try to link to one of the databases it get this message:

    Run-time error '3044':

'f:\dbfiles\BCprod\TMdata.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the flies resides.

Any help on how to link the files correctly?

and also if someone could help with this too, we have another server set up and all the info from this database will be uploaded to it, how do I connect this database to the server for the files to be uploaded?

Thank you so much if you can help!

It seems that there is someone in charge of database that did not give you all the information required to access the database. I suggest you talk to them. I'm also surprised you did not get any training on how to access this database. There seems to be some very vague processes/procedures in your office(s).

Well I have all the files I need, its just when I copied them from the server to my pc the locations are all different and I have no idea how to fix the error I am getting. But believe me I'm looking for another job, sometimes these people here are ridiculous.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
