    Modifing Ms Access Template

    Hello,

I am new in access and in this forum and I would like to ask you guys something.

I am managing a warehouse and I am trying to build an inventory management software on access. So far I was on excel.

I found the following template, and with some modifications it could be perfect.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...i:TC010206882|

The above template has a table ''Inventory transactions'' where you can add or remove quantities on stock by item.
Because every day I have a lot of transactions, I was wandering if it possible to add all the records from an excel file.

I tried importing the excel file having the same headings...but nothing.

    Any suggestions please...

Import should be possible. What do you mean by 'nothing'? What happened?

Analyse the data structure of the Excel file and the table and determine which of the possible errors applies.

The key violations error can be caused by trying to insert records with key values that already exist, or failing to populate a required field.
