prevent users from editing datasheet forms

I am not sure if what i am trying to do is possible.
Is there a way to prevent users from editing rows in a datasheet form only when data is already populated?

i know you can lock and disable columns, what i am trying to do is that when a row is already populated it cannot be edited, but new rows can be added....

Try changing the Allow Edits property of the form.
