Question Test for duplicate fields and see if third field is included.

Hopefully this is the right forum as I think that maybe a query could do what I need. But I'm not sure and I am not sure of the code if a query is applicable.

I have three fields in a table: Hunt Number: Hunt EXT & PUG EXT

What I need to do is check if the values in the Hunt EXT & PUG EXT match, if so I need to display the records where the Hunt Number is NOT included in the PUG EXT field. Hopefully a picture is worth a thousand words!

Hope that this makes some sense. Worst case is that I can check for duplicates.

Thanks for anyone that cares to respond.

You could use DLookUp. I can't think of anything else except VBA Code.

If it works then use it but if it is too slow you may have to consider Code.

Please put this in context so we can understand What you are trying to do.
What are you trying to do -- in plain English. Next what are these fields you're talking about?
What is the condition you're concerned with? What tables are involved?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
