Question Can I limit a specific value from a lookup field to only ONE record at a time?

    Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a way I can set a table up with an intrinsic limit, specifically that only ONE record at a time (this will vary) can possibly have value X selected from a lookup field containing assigned values X, Y and Z. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?

    Thanks in advance!!

First, if you are using lookups at the table level, you should take a look at this site that describes problems associated with table level lookups.

Now if you are using a lookup (combo/list box) on a form, you have the ability to restrict the values (by altering the row source property) or filter the values (based on the values of other controls on the form).
