Northwind - how to load

Another beginner question. In my 2000 version of Access, Northwind was easy to find. According to the book in 2010, I should be able to click on Sample Templates and see several databases including Northwind. Nothing is listed behind this tab. What do I need to do to load these samples (hopefully, without loading a security number - this caused great difficulty originally)? It seems that using the 2000 version will not the most beneficial.

(1) Turns out, if you double click on Sample Templates, nothing comes up. If I single click on Sample Templates, and then double click the choices come up. How I wish things all worked the same! Makes it really difficult to get anywhere when trying to learn. Thanks for getting me to try over and over again.

(2) I'm talking about the little icons (smile faces and such) which appear next to the reply to thread screen. There is also a Post Icons part at the bottom of the page. What is their purpose? Just to decorate the reply?

Glad you found solution.

Yes, the reply icons are to add nuance to text communication because we are not face-to-face and don't have benefit of facial expressions to augment communication, the 'smiley' icons can help to 'fill in' this deficiency. Also, a picture 'is worth a thousand words'.

The post icons are 'attention getters'.
