Cant see all rows in Access table

    Hello all,

My issue is quite weird. My work has a sql server db, and all the tables in our Access db is linked to them for reporting reasons for the secretaries. Can ANYONE PLEASE explain to me why all the rows for one table are not showing up in Access?

I go into SQL Server Management Studio and I can see all the rows, then when I try to go into Access 2010, I cannot see all the rows. I have already updated the table in Access through the Linked Table Manager. However, nothing changes Please help and thanks in advance.

    Hi -

You'll have to give more detail than that. How are you trying to see the records - a form or just by opening the table? Do the "missing" records have anything in common, such as a certain data value somewhere? How many records are you missing, and how many are you expecting?

    John

I am simply trying to view the table. Like I am going into Access and simply opening the table. This database has been used since probably 2005. And I cannot see any data past 8/27/2011. That is the last record in my Access table. I am expecting to see up to the current date. Its a payments_Table and a row is added after a payment is made(Obviously).

So today I made a new blank access database file, created the link to the sql server database and then tested to see if the tables were updated. SUCCESS! lol For some weird reason I was forced to recreate a blank database and configure it to point to our sql database. Not hard but still flipping annoying! Anyways, thanks for your time on reading my thread and if you are reading this because you are having the same issue, simply create a blank database and connect it to your sql database, select the tables you want to include in the access database that will be linked to your sql tables, and vwlah lah.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
