Verifing Data in a text box when it lose focus...

Hey, I have a form and one of the text fields I need to verify against data in a table. I think the best way is to check the field once it loses focus on that text field. If the data is not in the table then the user is prompt with a msg "Invalid data, Please try again". I'm using Access 2010 to develop. I need help with the query to run the validation.

    Thanks for your help.

Actually, I think the BeforeUpdate event would be better.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
