CALENDAR on form wont connect to TABLE

Hello, im currently using access 2010.

i have a calendar on my table that im using the user select a date for. The recordsource of this calendar is linked to a table. A field in this table should show whatever date the user clicks on. However, it does not matter what date the user clicks on in the calendar, the table does not register that date (unless i manually change the date in the table of course)

    any ideas? thanks!

You are using ActiveX calendar control? The ControlSource property of the calendar control is set to field of form's RecordSource?

yes that is correct, however when i right click ont he calendar-->properties, there is no option anywhere to include the record source. I noticed in an older version of access (03), it usually has this option but in 2010 i do not see it.

essentially, i want the table that the calendar is linked to display whatever date the user clicks on in the calendar on my form. Im thinking of perhaps creating an update query as a work around. so, update table.field to the calendar.value however, its not working properly. do you know if this can be do able? thanks

As with any control, the calendar control has a ControlSource, not RecordSource, on the Data tab of Properties window. It is still there with 2007/2010.

Oh boy, I am embarrassed. That's what I get for assuming that what was available in 2007 is also in 2010. For my previous post I was looking at 2007, which does show the Calendar control with ControlSource. Well, the Calendar control isn't even available in the 2010 control set. It has been deprecated.
