Unhappy issues with Enter/Tab/arrow keys clearing fields

Im creating a form that has about four subforms, it seems pressing enter in certain fields, or even tab will clear the form/subform. i have turned Tab Stop off and it still clears the sections, I do not want this to happen as i want the entire from completed before a "submit" button is pressed to save the data and continue with what they are doing. Can you tell me if/where I am missing something else?

Is it the last field? Sounds like the form is going to a new record. Check out the Cycle property of the form (or subform).

my form contains 3 or 4 subforms. when it gets to the last field in each subform is when it deletes and it and circles back to the first field in the form/subform. so it sounds like you may be right, ill have to look. unfortuantely I havent used access in years so I'm having some issues remembering all of the wonderful things you can mess up with one a wrong drop down selection. thank you, now i just hope i can find the "cycle property".

Im having issues now where tab is skipping fields in the same form as well as the deleting option. and enter is doing the same thing or not going anywhere.

Is it "deleting" the existing data, or is that data saved in the underlying table? If my guess is correct, the data is in the table and the form is just going to a new record. Cycle is a property of the form or subform.

Did changing the Cycle property fix it? I'm not sure what you're asking in post 4.

Im still working on trying to find and fix the cycle property issues, im hoping that it is what is causing tab to skip over the last field at times or not go to it at all, seriously thinking of scraping this whole database and starting over, obviously i have clicked something somewhere wrong a few too many times.

If tab/enter is skipping a control, check the tab stop property of that control and the tab order of the form.

i did check on that the tab order are (is) correct and i dont have anytype or macro or anything attatched to any of the action keys to make it do anything, all key behavior is default, so im not sure what is going on.

Can you post the db here? If so point out a specific control being skipped.
