    Ctrl-Select problem

New to Access 2010, find I cannot 'Ctrl - select' non-consecutive records in a table/datasheet.

Ctrl modifier key works fine everywhere else in other Office Apps, and in Access can for example Ctrl-select objects in Form design view, but in datasheet view Ctrl key just switches the horiz select arrow to a normal screen cursor.

Is there any setting I might have missed, cos I can't imagine this can be normal?

Have tried starting Access in Safe Mode - no luck.
    Any thoughts, please?

    PS... Running 32bit Office on Win7 64bit

I've tried this before in Access and have not been able to do it.
I've never thought to ask why it doesn't work.

What I'v eusually done, however, is write a query that either 'Selects' or 'Deletes' the records I would have tried to use the Ctrl + Select manual method in datasheet view.

I know this probably isn't what you wanted to hear.

I'd like to know if there IS a way to do this - that's why I responded.

If there ISN'T - I'd also like to know why this can't be done in datasheet view.

    Thanks Robeen

    Thanks, Robeen, for getting back.

As you say: not what I'd want to hear...
But at least I know it's not something I'm alone with!

Next question is: is there anyone who can Ctrl-select in datasheet view...?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
